Personal Overview

Serves as the principal officer for Florida Tech Orlando. Responsible for academic governance over programs and faculty to teach course offerings of 18 different master’s degree programs in Engineering, Business, and Management. Makes employment decisions of hiring, training, developing, and managing terminally-degreed faculty, resident administrators, and office personnel, and evaluates their performance.  

Oversees all academic activities and day-to-day operations at the Baldwin Park campus, at the Lockheed Martin training facility for face-to-face evening classes, at Valencia’s Lake Nona campus for the undergraduate completion program in Logistics Management, as well as the distance learning courses offered through the online virtual campus.

Has seventeen years of professional corporate world credentials as Executive Director in world-class organizations, served as a Chairman for the Supplier Management Review Board at Siemens Telecom, as an ISO Certified Lead Auditor for a global supplier network, and as a Quality Assurance Corporate Trainer at TI Automotive Systems.

As a scholarly practitioner, he delivers a blend of theory and practice in teaching methodology, focusing on application-based and evidence-based research in Systems Thinking ®, learning organizations, decision making, strategic management, and cross-cultural studies.

Seasoned Associate Professor in the College of Business with twenty one years of higher education teaching experience. Designed and integrated dynamic teaching strategies to foster graduate and undergraduate student learning, success, and retention.

Served as a Committee Chair for doctoral students in the DBA program, evaluated doctoral comprehensive examinations, tracked their progress of developing and defending a researchable dissertation proposal, obtaining IRB approval, and completing final dissertation defense.

Served as a voting member of the Committee on Standards of institutional academic policies, and a voting member on the Graduate Council Committee for academic curricula.

Served as a Peer-Reviewed Journal Editor for International Journal of Business Research (IJBR) from 2016 to Present.

Serving for the past nine years as the Curriculum Manager for two programs (M.S. in Supply Chain Management and M.S. in Quality Management).
